Richard Hill, Jr., 81, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Novant Health Presbyterian.  He was the son of the late Richard Hill, Sr. and Lela Rogers Hill. Richard was born on May 10, 1939 in Hollandale, Mississippi.

While a child, Richard's family moved to Charlotte, NC.  He was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and was a graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School.  He retired from Winn Dixie Warehouse.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one sister, Gwenevere Hill.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Hill, III of Charlotte, NC and Andre Pierre Hargrove (Monique) of Maryland; one brother, Vernon Hill, and two sisters, Betty Hill Matthews and Karen Allison, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of grandchildren, two nieces, other relatives and friends.
