Robert L. "Bob" Davis, Jr. 86, of Charlotte, passed on November 10, 2014 Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. At Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Samuels Officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The remains will lie in state at 10:00 am Interment will follow at York Memorial Park. A Retired Educator from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. Robert was born in Charlotte, NC. Survivors are: daughter, Sherry Davis Young (Samuel) Atlanta, Ga. Son, Robert L. Davis, III of Washington, DC; sister, Mrs. Rosalie Meeks of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Sean Young (Tina) and, And Judah Young of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter, Sheree Young of Virginia Beach, VA/; great-granddaughter,Imani Simpkins of Virginia Beach VA.;
