Mr. Robert Henry Harris peacefully transitioned to eternal life on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at University Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Charlotte, NC.

He was born to the late Thomas Lindsey Harris and Frances Lee Nesbit on November 22, 1940. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, James Roosevelt and William Harris and one sister, Martha Johnson.

Robert was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and graduated from York Road High School.

An avid golfer, he spent much of his spare time on the golf course. Robert enjoyed many sports and his favorite football team was the Indianapolis Colts.

Robert dearly loved his family, especially the grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of thirty-seven years, Elizabeth "Bunny" Massey Harris, four children, Mark Christopher Massey (Marissa), Marvin E. Massey (Geri), Mia Williams (David), all of Charlotte, NC and Kimberly Mackey, of Stanley, NC, special niece, Felice Wallace of Charlotte, NC; brothers-in-law, Marvin Massey (Sandra), Jack Massey (Willie Mae), and Marshall Massey (Grace); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
