Mr. Robert Adams, Jr., 79 of Charlotte, NC, departed this earthly life peacefully on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at White Oak Manor Charlotte. He was born on April 16, 1942 in Charlotte, NC at the Old Good Samaritan Hospital, to his parents the late Robert and Willie Fair Adams. Robert was the first of 10 children, that started the legacy of this family.

Robert Jr. as we called him attended Myers Street School located in the old Brooklyn Neighborhood during his 1st through 3rd grade years of school. In 1951, our parents moved into the newly developed Druid Hills community where he attended Fairview school 4th through 6th grades. He then attended Northwest Jr. High School. During that time, he took a typing class and became a pretty good typist which would later in life help him perform on his jobs. From Northwest, Robert went to West Charlotte Senior High, graduating in the class of 1960.

While at West Charlotte, he became known as the "Snake Doctor" because if it crawled, he would catch it. He also played football and took a class in photography under (Big Daddy Towns) and became a good photographer. He also learned how to develop his own pictures. During Robert's high school years, he had a part-time job working at Double Oaks Sundries afterschool and on the weekends. Immediately after graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force serving 20 years. He retired in 1980. While in the Air Force, his primary job was in postal service where his typing skills served him well. After retiring from the military, Robert Jr. went on to continue work for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years, retiring in 2014.

Robert Jr's hobbies included his love for basketball, and he played on several base teams in the military. In fact, in his mind he thought he could play for the Harlem Globetrotters. He was a quiet person, who loved to fish and take pictures. In his younger days, you would often see him walking around with not one but two cameras around his neck ready to take a picture.

In 1969, Robert Jr. married his first wife Kim Yong-Cha. Robert and Kim became the parents of 3 children Carlos, Richard, and Robin. In 2014, he married his second wife.

Preceding our brother in death were his parents Robert and Willie Fair Adams. His 1st wife Kim Yong-Cha, his 2nd wife Sol-Cha, his son Carlos, one brother Charles and one sister Doris.

Still here to cherish his many fond memories are his two children Richard Adams (Gabrielle), Robin Gennarelli, (David). Robert's sister and brothers Earl Adams (Virginia), Vernell Wilson, Jerry Adams, Donald Adams, Patricia Adams, Larry Adams (Marianne) and Yvette Adams. Grandchildren: Cassandra, Christopher, Courtney, Coti, Robert III, Conner, Ace, and Piper. Special friends in Sacramento, California, John and Kim Freeman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Robert Adams Jr. was a wonderful brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
