Robert Temple King Sr., born on December 6, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Lakewood, NJ, was called to his eternal rest on October 19, 2024. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Robert was a man of deep faith and love for his family. His life was a testament to compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Robert shared 36 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, his wife, Deborah King. Together, they built a home centered on love, faith, and a commitment to family. He lived by the motto, "Faith, Family, Finance," believing that life should be lived in that order. Known for his strong work ethic, Robert was a hard worker and a serial entrepreneur, always seeking new opportunities to provide for his family, pursue his passions, and support others.
He is survived by loving wife Deborah, his daughter, Sparkle Howard; his two sons, Robert King Jr. (TK) and Kory King; and his son-in-love, Montae Howard. He was a proud grandfather to MaLae Howard.
Robert's family extended to three bonus daughters, Jaime Kirby, Bria Mosby, and Ta'Shiva Mclean (Hoyal), and a bonus son, Nehemiah Robinson. He also cherished his seven Godchildren: Jeremiah (Kourtney), Nehemiah, Daniel (Jalissa), Hannah, Chloe, Charity, and Ian, along with over 30 foster children who were blessed by his nurturing spirit.
He was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, proudly supporting his team through every season. Robert is also survived by his siblings, Herbert King (Susie), Priscilla Mincey-Ruffin, and Kevin King (Cynthia), and his brother-in-love, Lamont Evans. His legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
