Mr. Robert Marsel Reid Sr., 71 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday May 5, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main.  He was born on September 18, 1947 in Lancaster, SC to Odell Heyward and Addie Bell Reid.

Mr. Reid served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorable discharged.  He then worked several years as a truck driver until his retirement earlier this year.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers William and Thomas Reid.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Robert Reid, Jr., Bradley Reid (Kim), Latanya Tarver (Eric), and Brian Reid.  His brothers, John Heyward Reid (Linda), Crawford Reid, Rev. Joseph Ray Reid, Roger Reid (Comfort), Wilbert Reid, and James Reid; sisters, Mary Coleman, Nancy Reid, Martha Reid, and Brenda Reid.  He also leaves a host of grandchildren, friends and family.
