Robert William Turner was born on February 15, 1966 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He departed this earth on July 4, 2023.

Robert grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina with his family and attended Hoskin Baptist Church. He graduated from West Mecklenburg High School. For continuum education, he attended Central Piedmont Community College for Visual Arts. In his earlier years, he was a skilled artist who loved to draw. He loves to dance. His three favorite sports were basketball (UNC Tar Heels), football (Dallas Cowboys) and wrestling. His greatest passion was martial arts because of its discipline and riding his motorcycles. He was private.

He worked in the steel industry for 30 years and was a hard worker. He was dedicated in helping and making a difference in the lives of others. Robert will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and a friend to many. He was deeply loved and admired by others.

He was preceded in death by his father Eddie Turner, his mother (Jessie D. Turner), brother (Eddie S. Turner) and sister (Eddie Ann Turner). His beloved wife Lynette Turner that he spent 32 years of marriage with is left to cherish his memories, along with his daughter, Lolita (Desmond) Glenn, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. His brother, Timothy Q. Turner, sisters Cleo (Sonny) McCauley and Teresa (Joseph) Weeks. His brother in-law Lester Ballard, sister in-laws, Linda (Jeff) Burton and Dorinda (Greg) Morrison. His Aunt Blandy Davidson and Aunt Dorothy Harris. He had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks goes out to Danny Johnson for being there as a true brother and friend.
