Mr. Rodney Alexander Davis-King was born January 20, 1981, in Charlotte North Carolina to Helen Elaine Davis King and Robert Cherry. The Lord called him home on February 27, 2025.
He received his education in Charlotte, North Carolina at West Mecklenburg High School. "Pooh" as he was affectionately known, was a protector of all things and people he loved. If "never met a stranger" was a person, it would be him because no matter when or what he had a huge impact on many of the people around him. If no one could get you to do it or listen, Rodney was the one that would get you to just go for it or to just listen. Rodney was a hard worker and would make sure he did everything possible to provide fo rhis family. He worked as a porter for SCA.
Rodney was a son, a brother, a husband, and an amazing father. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Cristina Torres; five sons, Semaj King, Carmelo King, Gavyn King, Geno King, and Giovanni King, one daughter Cali Dai King; four brothers; Timothy Davis, Bernard Davis, his twin brother Robert Davis-King (Kamara), and Robert Cherry Jr.; one sister Wanda Cherry, all of Charlotte, NC and a host of family and friends that will forever miss him and hold him close in their hearts.
