Roger Lee Huntley, Jr., 77 of Charlotte, departed this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Atrium Health Main.  He was the son of the late Roger Lee Huntley, and the late Julia Ann Allen Broadway was born September 22, 1944, in Union County, NC.  Roger was educated in the public schools of union County.  He retired with Pepsi Cola after forty-six years of employment.

Roger was a hard worker and an evolved man.  He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He was a great cook and love vacationing at the beach.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

In 1963, he married the love of his life, Shirley Huntley, they went on to have four beautiful children, Yvonne, Delores, Roger and Rickey.

Roger leaves his beloved memories to his two beautiful daughters, Yvonne Lotharp of Charlotte, NC and Delores Robinson (James) of Charlotte, NC and adorned son, Rickey Huntley (Melinda) of Charlotte, NC.  He cherished his 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four sisters, Vicky Ann Broadway, Kannapolis, NC; Wanda Ann Broadway and Brenda Martin both of Charlotte, NC, Diane Thompson, Monroe, NC; three brothers Wendell Wilkie Broadway Jr., (Sonya), Billy Wayne Broadway and Lawrence Michael Broadway, all of Charlotte, NC; two sisters in laws, Lottie Parker of Wingate, NC and Phillis Marsh of Monroe, NC; one aunt, Frances Peters, Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews and friends.

Roger is preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Huntley; his mother, Julia Ann Allen Broadway; his wife, Shirley Huntley; son, Roger Huntley III; sisters, Flossie Lee Hasty and Judy Linda Crowder; brother, Kenneth Broadway, two sisters in laws and five brothers in laws and grandchild, Brandon Robinson.
