Rosa "Rosie" Lee Wallace Savage, 77 of Charlotte, departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Novant Health-Main.  She was the daughter of the late I.J. and Ella Mae Barnette Wallace, was born February 4, 1944 in Mecklenburg County.  She was the oldest of six children.

At an early age, Rosa joined O'Zion A.M.E. Zion Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was a member of the choir.

After graduating from York Road High School, she met the love of her life, Thomas Savage.  They were united in holy matrimony and enjoyed over forty (40) years together.  The happy couple were blessed with two beautiful daughters to whom Rosa was devoted.

Although Rosa was a woman of few words, she had a big heart.  When she spoke, it was with love, encouragement and shared powerful messages. She was known for her nurturing and compassionate spirit.  She truly enjoyed babysitting her nieces, nephews and grandchildren.  She was an avid fan of cooking shows on television.  Rosa will be remembered for her warm smile, sweet laugh and for the abounding love she had for her family.

in addition to her parents, Rosie was predeceased by two sisters, Darnell and Sandra Wallace.

Rosie leaves many beautiful memories to her husband, Thomas Savage; daughters, Gloria J. Johnson and Narassa Savage; brother, Isaac John Wallace, Jr. (LaFredda); sisters, Kathleen W. McCoy (Richard) and Clara W. Woods (Donald); three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; devoted niece, Katrina McCoy Sanders (Darrell); special cousin, Charlie Wallace (Lois); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
