Rose Ruff Maple was born to Roy James Ruff, Sr. and Annie Ruth Clark in Columbia, South Carolina. Following graduation from Kendrick High School in 1975 of Columbus, Georgia, she moved to Charlotte, NC where she married her husband, Richard Maple in 1980. She attended Central Piedmont Community College, graduating with an Associate Degree in Computer Operations in 1982.
Rose Ruff Maple is preceded in death by parents, Roy J. Ruff and Annie Ruth Clark, Sister, Lula M. Perry, Brothers, Stanley A. Ruff, Willie J. Ruff, Roy J. Ruff Jr, and Husband, Richard Maple. She is survived by her two sons, Derek Leonard Maple (Lakeia Maple) and Justin Clay Maple (Adrian Maple). Stepsons, Nelson Maple and Kelvin Maple. Grandchildren, Derek Maple Jr., Landyn Maple, Justin Maple Jr., Justice Cali Maple and 10 Step-grandchildren. Sisters, Annie L. Randolph (James Randolph) and Priscilla Ruff and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Rose Maple loved the life she lived as a servant of God. She had the pleasure of traveling to Europe over the Red Sea, which is in the Bible. She enjoyed hobbies of planting flowers, gospel music, reading and cooking. She helped others with a kind heart and giving spirit.
