Mrs. Rose Marie Morgan Russell, of Charlotte, NC, transitioned peacefully on May 25th, 2024 at Levine & Dickson Southminster Hospice House in Charlotte, NC. Born April 24, 1952, to the late George William Morgan and late Annie Louise Hall of Shelby, NC.

Rose Marie attended Harding H.S. She earned an Associate's Degree from Central Piedmont Community College with a business concentration. Rose Marie had a long career as an accomplished Insurance Adjuster and retired from Jefferson Pilot (Lincoln Financial). She enjoyed cooking, painting, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her dedication to her family and friends was unwavering, and she touched the lives of many with her heart of gold. If you had a need, she would give you her last to take care of your need. She truly cared about all of those around her.

Rose Marie served God as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Grace Catholic (Greensboro) Church. She supported her community especially on holidays, often giving gifts and meals to families at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Rose Marie loved her family, who grieves her loss but takes comfort in precious memories. The legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by: a daughter, Kia Lawton (Michael) of Concord, NC, a son Gabriel Russell (Karen) of Fayetteville, GA; three brothers Dennis Morgan, Kenneth (Tonya), and David Morgan; Grandchildren: Yaminah Russell, Nathan Lawton, Kamryn Lawton, and Inara Russell; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She was pre-deceased by her brother Derrick Morgan, and sisters Lois Timmons, and Johnsie McCombs.
