Mr. Russell Johnson III, 65 of Charlotte, passed away on Monday March 4, 2019 at his residence.  He was born May 24, 1953 to the late Russell Johnson Jr. and Elizabeth Barnes Johnson in Cleveland County.

He loved to play football and played in high school while he attended Second Ward High in Charlotte.  Russell worked for Archer Daniel Midland Company for nearly 40 years.  He also was a big Dallas Cowboys fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 45 years, Inez McLean Johnson; children, Russell Graham, Michael Waynan (Crystal), Shakira Leach (Kevin), Randy Johnson (Tomeka), and Melissa Johnson; grandchildren, T'aira Graham, Shanell "Nikki" Graham, Terrell Graham, Yazmen Johnson, Sanchez McDowell, Aimber Johnson, Brandon Andrews, Kayla Andrews, Madison Jones, Eli Bates, Mavrick Graham, Mia Bates; Great-grandchildren, Sarah Graham, Jace Ferguson, Marleigh Graham, Iris Johnson, Baby Ferguson; Sisters: Beverly Costello (Terry), Andrea Henry, Brinderlyn Johnson; Brother, Pervia Johnson, and a host of other family and friends.
