Mrs. Sadie Mae Watson Black, 70 of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at Novant Health- Presbyterian. She was born on October 12, 1948 in Charlotte, NC to the late John W. Watson and Corrine D. Dye.
She was a resident of Charlotte for her entire life and attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Sister Black was a loving Homemaker who made everyone feel welcome and like they too were family. She enjoyed the simple things in life; companionship, good food, good friends, and found solace in the occasional seek and find puzzle book or planting flower beds out in the yard (that she could never seem to keep the kids out of. LOL). She was a Dedicated, No Nonsense, Grandmother, Mother, Sister, and Friend. She was a mother to many, not only her own, but to the children in the neighborhood. She was an active member of Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church singing in the Hymn Choir.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Paul Black, and her brother, Joseph Watson.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Jermaine Watson, Tangerlar "Tangie" Watson, Shemeka Watson (Tony), and Shae Little; Grandchildren, Darquarius Watson, Jerquavione Watson, Tiara Watson, Ta'Qualon Watson, Moeisha Streeter, Naoisha Little, JaeQwuan Little, Davion Little, six great grandchildren, and a special friend, Charles Kirkland.
