Mrs. Sadie Neal Weathers of Charlotte, NC departed this life on Friday, February 21, 2025.  She was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Ellie Withers Neal, wife of the late Audrey "Shorty" Weathers; sister to the late Roosevelt Neal Sr., Willie L. Neal, Bessie Neal, O'Dell Neal, Charles L. Neal; Annie M. Mason, Lucille Stewart, Paralee Corbett, Ellen Smith, and John T. Neal Sr. Sadie was born August 8th, 1925, in Pineville, NC.

Sadie was a faithful member of McClintock Presbyterian Church where she loved to serve.  She enjoyed singing on the senior choir and ushering. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and she had a genuine heart for serving.  Sadie enjoyed working in her yard planting beautiful flowers, taking care of her house and treasured spending time with her family and friends whom she loved so dearly.

Sadie attended McClintock School in her youth and received her diploma from Pineville Colored High School, aka Sterling High School.  She delighted in working as a manager at Tyson's Grocery until her retirement. Sadie also loved a good cup of hot coffee. She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, and enjoyed serving within her community.

Those left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Robin Wingard (Yancy); grandchildren, Darrien "D" James Staton (Kierra), Tariq Staton, Maria Staton, Kavan Staton, Yancy Wingard Jr., Te'Aaron "Tete" Wingard, Jehiel Wingard, Azel Wingard, Jahdiel Wingard, Alpierre "PJ" Wingard (Jada), Alijah Wingard, Aaidan Wingard, Robert "Corlione" Wingard;  one great grandchild, Ta'Mir Wingard; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Mrs. Mary Lou Harris, Mrs. Catherine Tyson and Mrs. Nancy Neely (Phillip); a host of nieces and nephews; special nieces, Charlene Truesdale, Tanya Wingard and Chrissy Johnson; special nephews, Darryl and Wayne Tyson; and a multitude of other relatives and dear friends.
