Obituary
Sandra Jean Lilley-Dean, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1957, in Augusta, GA to Elizabeth Ryans and John Brooks.
Sandra left Augusta, GA at the tender age of one years old to rejoin her loving parents Linwood Lilley, Sr and Elizabeth Lilley. Sandra was the oldest of seven children from Linwood and Elizabeth: Della Lilley (NY), Linwood Lilley, Jr (NC), Daisy Barnes (NC), Maxine Lilley (deceased), Patricia Simpson (deceased), Deloris Ceasar (TX) and also Diane Brooks (GA), Beverly Brooks (GA), Kenneth Mass (GA), Martha Youngblood (GA), Maureen Brooks (GA).
Sandra received her education in the Freeport High School District. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1975. Sandra was a member and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rockville Center, NY.
Sandra met Michael Tolbert the following year in 1976, and together they had three beautiful daughters, Tameka M. White (NC), Tracy Hoyes (MD), Tamara Tolbert (MD) and gained two son-in-laws, Rodney A. White and Tyrease Hoyes. Sandra later added two more children rounding out her brood to five in total: Derek Simpson (GA) and Tanejha Lilley (MD).
Sandra discovered love again when life bought her and Richard Lamar Dean, Sr. together. They later married on November 19, 2009. From this union she gained a stepson, Richard Lamar Dean, Jr. She also became a member of First Baptist Church of Back River, Essex, MD.
Sandra had a natural caregivers spirit that showed throughout her life. She always welcomed everyone into her heart and home. Sandra also became a Home Health Aide and loved to care for her private duty patients. Sandra enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was such a loving soul and brightened up every room she entered. She had a fun easy-going "life of the party spirit". She lived for the turn up!
Sandra unconditionally loved her grandchildren. She has left behind; Rodney A. White II, Raiyannah A. White, Jaden Tolbert-Buffet, Warren Hoyes, William Sutton Jr., Elijah Tolbert, Apriyah Simpson, and Ka'son Simpson. Left to cherish her are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her god children: Tykeriah Flournoy and Alexis Alexander (Cupcake).
