Sandra Alexander Thompson, 63 of Mint Hill, NC, departed her sweet life on earth on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate.  She was the daughter of the late Andrew N. Smith and Dorhty Feemster.  She was born on September 3, 1958 in Charlotte, NC.  She was raised by her maternal grandparents Lewis and Ola Alexander where she was introduced at an early age to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Providence Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of West Charlotte High School and attended Johnson C. Smith University.  She went to work for Atrium Health for 32 plus years where she retired in 2021.  She was an active member of Ebenezer Baptist church and leader of the Girl Scout Daisy troop, and one of the two craft leaders for vocational bible school.

She leaves to cherish her husband Vernard Thompson of 40 years and memories of a loving and devoted son Je'ton Alexander and a loving step daughter Tammy Johnson.  She also leaves behind the grand joys of her life Amaya Alexander and Kashten Alexander, Quatisha Hall, Santonio Brown and Monterrio Hall and great grandkids.  Sandra is survived by her loving siblings Andrew Alexander, Wanda Alexander and Carolyn Alexander and nephew Quintin Alexander (Kimani and August), and Miles Alexander.  She also leaves Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
