Mr. Sandy Henderson, 81, affectionately known as "Copack" of Charlotte entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.  He was born on February 11, 1941 to the late Alfonzo Henderson and Katie Rhyne Henderson in Huntersville, NC.

Sandy attended Torrence-Lytle School in Huntersville, NC.  He married the love of his life Bessie Ann Whitley and they were happily married for many years. He was employed by the City of Charlotte in The Street Maintenance Department for many years, until he retired.  He was a faithful member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Huntersville, NC until his health declined.  He was a member of the Mt Olive Men's Choir for many years.  In his free time he enjoyed riding to the park with his (baby girl) Nae working in his garden and soaking up God's sunshine on his patio.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers:  Bill, Amzi, John, Robert, James, Odell, Wade, and Leroy Henderson and three sisters; Evelyn, Annie, and Maggie.

Mr. Sandy Henderson leaves behind a loving and faithful wife, Bessie Henderson; two daughters, Sandra Mills (Phillip) of Huntersville, NC and Katie aka Nae Henderson of Charlotte, NC; three sons, Greg (Toni) Henderson, Jonathan Henderson, John Henderson, and a special grandson of the home, Sanquae Merchant, all of Charlotte, NC; fifteen grandchildren, and one loving brother, Roosevelt Henderson (Ida) of Huntersville, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
