The Waritay, Fahnbulleh, Kromah, and Massaquoi families announce with profound regret the unforeseen death of their Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Mr. Sayku A. Maseru Waritay.
This sad event occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA) on Saturday, March 3, 2018 after a brief period of illness.
The late Sayku A. Maseru Waritay is survived by his children: Memuna Sulaiman (Abu), Darlingston Waritay (Tina), Maima Waritay Washington (Kris), Saran Haidara, Boimah Waritay, Mohammed Waritay, and Sayku A.M Waritay Jr. and as well as nine grandchildren.
He is survived by brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and a host of relatives and friends in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Saudi Arabia, and Europe.
Prior to his death, he worked at the Ministry of Land Mines and Energy. Whereas, in the United States of America he lectured at the following institutions in North Carolina: Barber Scotia College in Concord, The University of North Carolina (UNC), Shaw University, Davidson College, Livingstone College and West Charlotte High School.
In recent years, In Liberia, the late Sayku Maseru Waritay served as team leader of Liberia Teacher Training program (LITP) Funded by USAID (United States Aid for International Development) in Monrovia. He aslo lectured at the University of Liberia and AMEU on Camp Johnson Road.
Most recently, he served as special assistant to honorable Benoni Urey, Standard Beaver of the All Liberian Party (ALP)
