IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shannon Tennille
Gilmore-Coffie
March 15, 2024
Shannon Gilmore Coffie was born on May 2, 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina as a birthday gift to her mother, Carolyn Felder Gilmore and father, Daryl Lamont Gilmore (late). She was one of four children and is survived by her husband, James J Coffie, daughter Madison Coffie, her sisters Tayla Gilmore, Bridgette Wallace (Perry) and brother, Cedric Gilmore. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Shannon graduated from Independence Senior High School in Mint Hill, NC. She continued her education at Southeastern Community College, completing her studies in the Manicuring/Nail Technology program where she became certified as a Nail Technician. She later furthered her education, attending the Aveda Institute School of Cosmetology and Esthiology, becoming a licensed Esthetician where she expanded her services to tattoo artistry, lash extensions and laser treatments for skin tags. For more than a decade, Shannon was an accomplished business owner of the Exscape to 2 Glam Studio, providing self-care spa services to men and women.
In 2010, Shannon married the love of her life, her junior high school sweetheart, James J. Coffie. From their union, James and Shannon had a beautiful daughter named Madison, one of their most treasured gifts. Shannon excelled as a mother and wife and was the foundation of their family. Being a wife and mother were two of the most important roles in Shannon's life. She loved family and fostered a close bond with her husband and daughter.
Shannon was well loved by many, she valued her lifelong friendships, once you were a friend, you became family. Shannon's spirit of connection, love and generosity encompassed a wide network of people that she brought together. She had a heart centered around servicing and giving to others. Most important to Shannon was her relationship with God. She loved the Lord and was not ashamed to let you know. A true example of a Proverb woman.
Although Shannon will be deeply missed, we know that she is home now, in peace, resting and praising God, her Lord and Savior for a life well lived.
