OBITUARY

Sharon Annette Brice was born on February 6, 1966 and departed this life peacefully on Monday February 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl William Neal, Sr. and Ruby Elizabeth Neal. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her big brother Carl Neal, Jr. and her big sister Barbara Neal Givens.

Sharon was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and was the baby of six siblings. She was a proud graduate of Independence High School and also attended American Fashion and Business Institute. Sharon was employed by Finestra, Incorporated for many years and later transitioned to the Food Industry having worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Firehouse Subs. Prior to working in the food industry, she assisted her mother with the Neal's Family Home Daycare business. Experience from the family business would earn her the opportunity to work at Fran's Daycare where she worked up until her illness. She served in many capacities including as a cook, bus driver, and teacher's assistant.

Sharon was a lifetime member of Torrence Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and served her church family well and in many roles. She was a member and President of the Gospel Choir, head facilitator of the Kitchen Committee and also served on the Evangelism Committee for many years. Sharon was especially known as a songstress and often was lead singer for many of the songs on her Gospel Choir. She was an accomplished and talented tambourine player, which was her praise and worship to God. She also sang proudly as a member of the Neal Ensemble with her mother Ruby and sisters Barbara, Nina and Bridget on many occasions.

Sharon leaves to cherish precious memories to her husband Kent F. Brice of more than 12 years, one brother Robert L. Neal (Melissa) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, three sisters Crystal Anthony, Nina Neal, and Bridget Crawford, all of Charlotte, North Carolina. One Uncle, Wilbert Gaston (Betty) of Charlotte , Three Aunts, Etta Menton of NY, Ada Gaston and Mary Gaston of Charlotte, North Carolina. Father-in-law William Miller, Three Brother-in-laws, Billy Davis, Jonathan Miller and DeAndre Lowery, One sister-in law Angela Neal of Charlotte, NC. Ten nieces and nephews: Carl Neal, III (Jordan) of Jacksonville, NC, Julio Anthony (Alecia) of Louisville, Kentucky , Ryan Anthony, Robert Neal, Jr., Nicole McMullen, Yasmin Neal, Christen Anthony, Kayla Stinson (Donavan), Tamica Neal-Brandon (Willie) and Lakeisha Smallwood. Twelve grandnieces and grandnephews and two great-grand nieces and nephews. Two favorite cousins, Tina Menton of Tampa, FL and Marty Thompson of Charlotte; her best friend Trina Patterson, two therapy dogs, Max and Simone Neal and a host of other relatives and friends.
