Obituary

Sharrieff  Abdul Yusef Jones Jr., 17 of Charlotte, departed this earth on Sunday, December 13, 2020.  He was tenderly known as "Lil Riff" as his family used to call him, was born at Carolina Medical in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 11, 2003.  He entered this world with a bang and made a lasting impression-touching the lives of everyone he came in contact with.

Sharrieff had big hopes and dreams.  He was into football and loved being around his family and friends.  Sharrieff attended Turning Point Vocational School and was soon to graduate.  He loved his family and friends deeply and was loyal to a fault.  He grew up very close to his siblings and loved his nephew A-Mirr to the core.  He also loved his mother and father dearly.  He looked up to his numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, older, and younger cousins, who he respected and cared for unconditionally.

Left to cherish his memory, Maternal: Mother, Toya Tanisha Evans; Grandfather, Leon Matthews; Grandmother, Deborah Evans; Great Grandmother Sally McCormick; Uncle Demon Evans; "Special" Uncle Brad McCommons; Aunt, Tabitha Evans; Sister, Davionna Evans; Brother, Nijai Evans; Sister, Sharriess "Reesie Cup" Jones; Nephew, A-Mirr Jones; Aunt, Thyra Howard; Aunt, Helen Howard; Cousins, Miya Evans, Messiah Evans, Qualyn McCommons, "BJ" McCommons, Natavion McCommons, Micah McCommons, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Paternal: Father, Sharrieff Abdul Yusef Jones, Sr.; Grandmother, Evelyn Leggette; Uncle, Jeffrey Portor (Tanya); Sonya Steele and Kenyta Jones.
