A phenomenal friend, an incredible mother, an exceptional grandmother, and loving great-grandmother. If you knew Shirley (Mom-Mom) you would smile at the thought of how "spunky" and full of life she was. She always loved to help others and always found time to volunteer, especially with Meals on Wheels of Mercer County and Young Scholars Institute. She attended First Baptist Church while in NJ. She enjoyed working in her yard, walking, domestic and international travel, water aerobics, jigsaw puzzles, oil paintings, charcoal drawings, and spending time with love ones. She will be missed, but her legacy lives on.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband Frank, brothers Harold and Fred Caffee, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Arnold and Irene Caffee, Richard and Juanita Caffee, Holly and Marion Caffee, one sister and brother-in-law, Muriel and Harold Breeden and "special sister Alma Caffee". She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters Cheryl Aaron of Charlotte, NC and Joan Carthan of Suitland, MD, two grandchildren, Simone (Rob) Harris of Clinton, MD and Cedric Pindle of Charlotte NC, two great grandchildren, Isabella and Xavier Harris of Clinton, MD., a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
