Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at the Grier Memorial Chapel located at 115 John McCarroll Avenue in Charlotte. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. The interment will be private. Shirley was an Administrative Assistant at Bank of America. Survivors are: two sons, Melvin Rowell and Brendon Rowell; a daughter, Crystal J. Thomas; and three sisters, Annie Bell McSwain, Quincy B. Murphy and Kaylin Brice.
