Shirley Session 77, of Charlotte, passed away on June 24, 2019 at Novant Health Presbyterian.  She was born December 26, 1941 to the late Clair Williams and Turner Williams and was raised in Rock Hill, SC.

Shirley was a graduate of Emmett Scott High School and a graduate of Winthrop College.  She held post as a registered nurse of Piedmont Medical Hospital.  She supported herself and her two children throughout the years.

Shirley was well known by her family and friends.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her family and friends, watching and seeing her grandchildren grow, mature and build lives for themselves.

Shirley was a very devoted grandmother.  She loved her grandchildren very much.  She enjoyed talking, laughing and playing "Bingo" and traveling.  She was a lot of things to her family, a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and a Cousin.  She loved to cook and feed anyone who sat at her table.  She was very kind hearted.  We ask that she be remembered by her beautiful smile and sense of humor.

Shirley leaves to behind to cherish her memories her son, Willie Williams; her daughter, Linda Tate; her companion, Dave Williams; her grandchildren, Sharon Tate, Antwan Tate (Phyllis), Maurice Tate, Quayshawn Tate, Destiny Tate, Antwan Tate Jr., Rodarius Meaders, Keziyah Meaders, Donnell Tate, King Tate, Avionna Tate, her Littley Lady Zonovi Tate and Royale Tate; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and very special and favorite cousins, and other relatives and friends.
