Mrs. Sidney "Peggy" Marguerite Pharr Steward, 87, of Charlotte passed away on May 9, 2016 at her residence. Funeral service will be at 1:00 on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Simpson Gillespie United Methodist Church, 3900 Beatties Ford Road. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Oaklawn Cemetery. She is survived by: sons, Drexel (Avis) Steward, Las Vegas, NV, Dr. Emmett Steward, Charlotte; daughters, Gladys Steward Taylor, Charlotte, Sharon Steward (Francis)Ledbetter, Annapolis, MD.
