Siojvon D'nitra Joseph, 35 of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2020.  Ms. Siojvon D'nitra Joseph was born on August 23, 1984.  She was the daughter of Donald McGwan and the late Beverly Denise Joseph.  She accepted Christ and she attended Garden of Prayer Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.  She ran track and was a cheerleader. She attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  She later furthered her education at South Eastern Medical Institution as a CNA Medical Technician.  She also earned her Certification in Therapeutic Foster Care in Mecklenburg County.

She was employed with Walton Woods Assisted Living.  She sang on the choir at Garden of Prayer.  Her favorite saying was "Look at God, Won't He Do It!" She was affectionately known to family and friends as "Mookie."

Besides the abounding joy she gained from spending quality time with family and friends, she enjoyed traveling, laughing, being a jokester, working and giving to others.  She was a Carolina Panthers and Duke Blue Devils fan.

Siojvon was preceded in death by her grandmother, Amanda Hill Joseph; mother, Beverly Denise Joseph; her uncles, William Joseph, Nathaniel Joseph; her aunt, Doris Gray; nephew, Kendrick Frazier; niece, Alleana Town; and cousin, Devon McCorkle.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sisters, Tomyra Joseph  (Karlos Neal) and Jade Johnson of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Larry Joseph, Reginald McLean, Terrence McLean of Charlotte; special sisters, Janelle Edwards and Jasmine Edwards of Charlotte; a special to love child, Ni'lyn Bolder; her aunt/mom, Lucinda Edwards (Jeff), Gretchen Joseph, Theresa Johnson, and her uncles, Timothy Joseph and Fred Massey.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her nieces, Kiari, Josselyn, Ayhanna, Zahkiyah, Ciana; a nephew, Shamari; one great-nephew, Aiden, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
