Mr. Stephen Lewis, 69, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2025 at his residence.

Stephen "Stevie" Lewis was born in Trenton, NJ on December 17, 1955, to the late Juanita and Arthur Lewis, Sr. He departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2025 at his residence.

He was educated in Trenton and Pennington Public School Systems, where he later received his GED. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1980. Stevie worked several manufacturing and skilled trade positions in New Jersey and in North Carolina. He enjoyed reading, fixing things (handyman), cooking, going to the gym and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, Stevie was predeceased by his wife Sharon Lewis; brother, Arthur Lewis; sister, Lisa Lewis; aunts, Bertha White, Janie Armstrong, Ruth Taylor, Marilyn Burris, Ora Mae Lewis, Marian Gilliard, Claudia Murray, Rosie Harris and Ellen Banks; uncles, Rev. Henry Lewis, Sr., Bosie Lewis, John Murray, James Murray, Elder David Murray, Robert Gilliard Sr, and Howard Banks.

He leaves to cherish his memories beloved daughter, Stephanie K. Lewis and granddaughter, Ari Bella Lewis of Charlotte NC; sisters, Veronica and Sheila Lewis; brother, John Lewis, aunts, Delores Murray and Bernice Murray; uncles, John Burris and Hozel Armstrong; nieces, Tamika Glover (Jesse), Sabrina Allen (Ellis) and BriAnna Lewis; great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends and his special neighbors in North Carolina. To God be the glory!

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery.
