Sylvia Paulina Jack, daughter of Charles and Exelie Jack was born on November 1st, 1948, on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. She was the sixth child of her parents. Sylvia received her early education on the island of Trinidad.
Sylvia was raised in a Christian home; her parent taught her how to pray and trust in the Lord. Some of her early memories were seeing her parents and siblings praying as a family before her father, Pape went to work every day.
Sylvia migrated to the United States in 1980 to join her beloved sister Juanita, where she began building a career in the medical field at Bernard Fineson Development Center in Queens, NY as an accomplished CNA. That career spanned for over 23 years.
In her early years in Queens, Sylvia attended the Church of the Resurrection in East Elmhurst. Later, like her sister Juanita, Sylvia also attended St. Joseph Episcopal Church in Queens Village, where she also experienced the Cursillo Movement. She would later join her beloved sister Juanita when she decided to relocate to Matthews, NC. Shortly thereafter Sylvia became a member of St. Michael's Anglican Church with her sister Juanita.
Sylvia was a kind and gentle soul. She was loved by her family. She was affectionately called "Auntie" by her nieces and nephews..
On April 23rd of 2024 Auntie Sylvia died of grief the same afternoon, 12 hours after her sister Juanita passed away. The family mourns her death. The family remembers Sylvia saying that same day; "Do not resuscitate me, once I see Jesus, I am not coming back."
Sylvia leaves to cherish her memories; her beloved sister Norma/Lennil Lezama, her brother. Edson Jack. Her nieces and nephews; Charmaine Merrion, Richard Merrion 111, Junior & Collette Lezama, Chevonne Lezama, Deina & Sean Thomas, Yurgen & Shirley Lezama, Chanelle Diaz, Cherisse Diaz, David Lezama, Daniel Lezama, Christopher Thomas, Adrian Thomas, Valene Jack, Dana/Kevin Black, Charles Jack, Edward Jack and Henry Jack Jr.
