IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tamika Lashonda
Walker
August 25, 1976 – November 21, 2022
On November 21, 2022, God saw fit to call our beloved sister, aunt, cousin, mother, and friend Tamika Lashonda Walker known to many "Mika" home to rest in his loving arms. She will be missed by all who knew her Tamika was born August 25, 1976 at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was the second born to Deborah and the late Johnny Mack Walker. Tamika accepted Christ at an early age where she attended El Bethel A.M. E. Zion Church in Fort Mill, SC. Tamika was raised by bother her parents and attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where she graduated from Myers Park in High School in 195. Upon graduation Mika entered the workforce working for Carolinas Medical Center, until later beginning her career with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Transportation department in August of 1998. She dedicated twenty-four years of service and worked for Park and Recreation during the summer months until her failing health.
In 1998, she married Joshua Fisher, which ended in divorce two decades later. Of the union three children were born. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her long-term partner Jermaine aka her "Boo" as she would call him, travelling to different beaches, taking pictures, shopping, working out, the sound of slot machines, and hanging out with her best friend Iris.
To know Mika, was to love her. She had a beautiful spirit inside and out and all that knew her, knew she was a "Diva" and a "Queen" with the most beautiful smile that lit up any room she entered. She would always greet you by saying "Hey Boo".
Tamika is preceded in death by her father Johnny Mack Walker, grandparents, Mildred Fewell, Kathleen, and Mack Givens. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her loving mother Deborah Walker Huntley (Larry), sister Paris Walker-Rawls(Darian), brother Jamarion Perry (Tameka), three beautiful daughters Jaleshia, Jaquisha, Ailazia Fisher, two grandchildren Isahani and Jacquice Anderson, her fiance Jermaine McCorbin, nieces Arineka Carr, Alexis Lassiter, Samiya Perry, and nephews Gregory Walker, Jr., Jamarian Perry, Jr., Jeremiah Perry, Tristan Perry, and a host of beloved aunts, cousins, uncles, and extended family and friends.
