Tammi LaTarsha Neal, 52 of Charlotte, transitioned on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cabarrus.  She was born January 2, 1969, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Tammi was the daughter of Christopher Neal and the late Beverly C. Neal.  Tammi was especially loved and nurtured by her grandmothers, Elizabeth Neal and Mary Cuthbertson.  Tammi was preceded in death by her mother Beverly C. Neal and her grandmothers Elizabeth Neal and Mary Cuthbertson.  Tammi was baptized at Mayfield Baptist Church of Charlotte, NC.  Throughout her youth, Tammi attended church faithfully with her grandmother, Elizabeth.  She attended Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School.  Tammi retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools where she served as a School Bus Driver.

Tammi was a faithful and inaugural member of Emmaus Church.  Tammi was known for being a teacher, accessible, maternal, magnanimous, and inspirational.  Her biggest gift to this world was her heart.  If you needed anything, and she had it, it was yours--no questions asked.  She exemplified Matthew 22:39 in which the Lord instructs the disciples to "love your neighbor as yourself."  Tammi especially loved children.  Tammi lived and raised a generation of children beyond her own.

"Tammi's House" was a mainstay for joy, laughter, and good entertainment.  Family, friends, and neighbors were always sure to find three things at Tammi's House: (1) a welcoming presence (2) good food, and (3) a caring ear.

Tammi loved her family deeply, but the well of her love overflowed for Kassidy Alyse Fenderson, her only grandchild and the apple of her eye.

Left to cherish fond memories are her father and stepmother, Christopher and Alfredia Neal.  Son and daughter, Robert and Ashley Mason.  Three siblings, Christina Rodwell Deyon, Bre'Anna Neal, and Christopher Neal Jr. One granddaughter, Kassidy Fenderson.  Nieces and nephews and the entire Cuthbertson family.  To family, friends, and community, Tammi's generous spirit has touched us all.  She will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
