Ms. Tanya Michelle Moore, 52, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Atrium Health Pineville.

Tanya Michelle Moore, 2, of Charlotte was born July 22, 1972, to the late Gwendolyn Moore and Donald Kelson.  She departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2024, after a long illness.

Tanya was a lifelong resident of Charlotte and graduated from Garinger High School before attending Kings College.  Tanya had a long career in the medical field with Novant Health as a Billing Specialist, with Connextions as a Licensed Health Insurance Agent and her last position, before becoming ill, with Orthocarolina as a Data Entry Coordinator.  In addition to her work history, Tanya also volunteered at the Galilee Baptist Church Food Pantry and the Homeless Shelter.

Although Tanya never had any biological children, she was blessed to raise two fur babies, Mack and later Barney, that she loved dearly.

Tonya loved the Lord and her family.  She spent most holidays celebrating with her Uncle Darryl, Aunt Nina and cousins Nia and Jabari.  She often spoke of the great times she had at family reunions as well as celebrations with the Ladson family.  She was also a big Green Bay Packers fan.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Moore; grandmother, Helen Moore; uncle, George Moore and aunt, Beverly Hogan.

She leaves to cherish her memory her long-time companion, Andy Ladson; fur son, Barney Moore; uncle, Darryl Moore (Nina) of Charlotte, NC; cousins, Nia Moore of New Haven, CT, Jabari Moore of Raleigh, NC, Toya Witherspoon, Bruce Cureton, Alvin Cureton, Dominique Cureton, Tevin Cureton, all of Charlotte; members of the Ladson family; and a host of other family members and friends, including her special girlfriends, Gwen Wright, Pam Morris, Sabrina Kennedy, and Tonya Hemmingway.

Tanya will be missed by her loved ones, but we know that she is reunited with her mother and that we have a new Angel!
