Ms. Tawana M. Murdaugh, 50 of Charlotte, passed away on Monday May 17, 2020 at Atrium Health-Main. She was born December 4, 1969 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Anita L. Davidson and the late Charles P. Davidson.

She was educated in the Mecklenburg school system.  She was the go to person in the family when you needed someone to talk to.  She would always listen.  She went to Grainger High School and Harding High School where she graduated.  She also attended CPCC Community College and went to Fashion School.  She worked in the Food Services and Security industry for IBM.

As a child, she attended Union Missionary Baptism Church lead by the late Rev. L. D. Jefferies.  Tawana joined Parkwood C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Rev Medcalf.  Tawana loved God and she loved her family and friends.  As a child, she joined the Rising Stars gospel singers.  She also sang on two other groups, The Gospel Commanders and Gospel Messenger started by her mother, Anita and when she couldn't make it to church she would have bible studies at house with her mother and the kids.

She was preceded in death by her father; Charles P. Davidson and brother Mario Davidson.
