Mr. Telford Sol Brown (TA), 70  was born April 7, 1948 in Pike County, Georgia from the union of Levi Brown and Della Jeter.  He departed his earthly life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Atrium Health-Main.

Telford is preceded in death by his parents and 13 siblings.

Telford graduated from West Charlotte Senior High School (1966) in Charlotte, NC.  After high school, he enlisted in the Army.  Telford completed two tours of duty in Vietnam.  Telford began his career in welding at Pneumafil and later at Bouligny for many years. Among his hobbies were gardening, bowling, watching his beloved Cowboys, and Tarheels play.  Most of all he loved watching "Big Bang Theory" with his grandsons.  He also spent countless hours listening to his "Old School" music such as Sam Cooke, The Four Tops, etc.  Ta (Telford) never met a stranger.  He would spend time on the porch waving at people driving or walking by daily.

He was married to Gail Barber on September 22, 1973 in Charlotte. NC.  They had three children, Terence (Teanna), Jeremy, and Jennifer (Joseph).  He has two grandsons, Terence Jr. and Taejzon Brown, and one granddaughter soon to be born, Jenesis Parks.  Left behind were the final three siblings of the 16 children, Carrie Jones of Decatur, Ga, Johnny Brown of California and Della Curry of Charlotte, NC.  Ta also had a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
