Terrence Michael Reese was born at 5:44 p.m. on October 18, 1965 to Hurshell and Wanda Reese at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Detroit Michigan. Terrence loved both of his parents dearly. He looked up to his father, and would talk about the memories they shared. Terrence had a close bond with his mother whereas they would talk numerous times a day about politics, history, memories, and the lottery.
As an adult, Terrence loved to serve others. One way he did that was through his employment as a server for over 20 years at one of the most prestigious restaurants in Michigan called, The Whitney. Throughout his time at The Whitney he has met legends like Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight. Terrence also believed in giving back to his community through charity work. One of his favorite charities being St. Jude.
On March 19th, 1997 Terrence's world shifted because Terrence Michael Reese II (Lil Terrence) was born. Lil Terrence was Terrence's pride and joy. As if it wasn't enough that they were identical, they also enjoyed lengthy talks about history and politics. Terrence was so proud of Lil Terrence for all his accomplishments from playing football as a child to graduating college.
As life went on for Terrence, he continued on as a loving father and son. In the summer of 2004 he met the love of his life, Tracee Stanford. On October 16th, 2014 they married in Vegas (where they celebrated their anniversary each year) and her name became Tracee Reese. Tracee gave Terrence the nickname "T-Dog" because he was her ride or die. They shared many memories and laughs together.
In addition to gaining a wife, Terrence also gained a daughter, TyQuana Stanford (Ty). Or as Terrence would call her, Miss America. Terrence was a second father to Ty. He taught her about life and boys. Terrence and Ty shared in a lot of intense debates on political and social views, but they also shared a lot of love and laughs. He too was proud of her accomplishments.
Terrence's best friend was Kem Mitchell (Mitch). Sharing similar experiences, Terrence and Mitch connected. They would share stories about traveling from Chicago and to Canada, and the laughs were unforgettable. They fussed at each other, but the love was definitely present on their regular phone calls.
Last but not least we have his favorite puppy, Isis. Terrence attributed a lot of his health and being with us longer to Isis. She was always there, and he loved her. That was his "poopy doopy".
Gone too soon, Terrence leaves behind a cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He loved you all. As his people, we are responsible for remembering the good times and keeping his memory alive. Terrence will always be in our thoughts, and forever in our hearts
