Thelma Marie Ervin, 82, affectionally known as "Teetie Wee" to family and friends, was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Reid.  She was born in Mecklenburg County, on September 12, 1942, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Tee transition to her heavenly home at Atrium Main Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday, May 09, 2025.

Tee attended Plato Price High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tee was employed for many years with WBTV as a server. She was next employed by Dunbar Studio in the photo lab. Dunbar Studio was in the only photo lab in Charlotte that produced school pictures at that time. She retired from Eckerd's Warehouse and was later employed by Myers Park High School as a cafeteria worker. Tee re-entered the workforce retiring a second time at Presbyterian Church as the Lead Chef.

Her Christian life began at an early age at Moore's Sanctuary AME Zion Church. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Deaconess Board, the choir, a member of Sunday School, and a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Tee loved to sing and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her kindness spoke volumes. She has always been humble, giving and so loving to those around her. Tee was adored by her family, and she was always happier when she was surrounded by them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Tee, we will ALWAYS CHERISH and LOVE YOU. We vow to keep your memories alive. She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister Melvin Mason and one sister-in-law, Jessie Mae Reid of Charlotte, NC; one daughter (Niece) Vindetta Black of the home. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hattie (Willie) Roberts and Emma Mae Reid; two brothers, Clarence Reid and Robert Reid. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
