Ms. Thelma Pandora Howie, 60 of Charlotte, transitioned from this earth on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late John Walter and Sallie Mae Howie and was born June 3, 1960 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father Mr. John Walter Howie, her mother, Mrs. Sallie Mae Howie, and her loving companion Mr. Mike Gregory. She was the youngest of four children.
Thelma grew up in Mecklenburg County and attended West Charlotte High School where she was an A Honor Student. She continued her education at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) with Associated of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood in 2013, where she was a member of Phi Lambda Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Educational Organization. Thelma was employed as a Pre-K teacher at Brighter Future Learning Center (BFLC) until her health failed.
Those left to cherish her memories include: her loving daughter of the home, Shante N. Howie, brother, Wilford Eugene Howie, Sr., sisters, Shirley Ann Blakeney of Charlotte, North Carolina, Doris Jean Stone of Philadelphia, PA; Two grandsons, Jeremiah W. Howie, and Joshua E. Howie of the home. Nieces and Nephews: Vince, Renee, Darryl, Wilford Jr., Tiffany, Tyrone and Timothy. Three best friends: Sheran McCain, Rosalind Little, and Debra Ratchford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
