Theodore Teeter, Jr., 73, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN,

Theodore Teeter, Jr., 73, of Johnson City, Tennessee, was born on July 10, 1950, to the late Theodore Teeter, Sr. and Margaret Brown Teeter at Good Samaritan Hospital (now known as Atrium, formerly known as Charlotte Memorial Hospital).  Mr. Teeter departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Mr. Teeter was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and was a 1968 graduate of Second Ward High School.

Mr. Teeter enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 and was a Vietnam War veteran.  He was a maintenance worker at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Charlotte, NC and he also worked at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.  After moving to Tennessee, he volunteered at the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

Mr. Teeter, a.k.a. "June Bug," was very fond of children.  He never met a stranger. He also had an Emotional Support Animal named "Booboo," which he cherished.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teeter was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Teeter Clark.

Mr. Teeter is survived by his daughter, Tisa L. Teeter Alexander (Ira, Jr.); four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, all of Charlotte, NC; step-daughter, Sylvetta "Booboo" Bost of Hickory, NC; sisters, Carolyn Teeter Walker (Eugene) and Marguarite Teeter Gray; aunt, Emma Lewis, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
