Mr. Thomas Watson Murray, Jr., son the late Thomas and Fannie Murray, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 7, 1940.  He departed this life on Friday, February 22, 2019.

"June" as he was so affectionately called, was sometimes challenging in his early years.  As life went on, June became a quiet and loving person.  He attended Second Ward High School.

June took many professions after school.  He worked for the Charlotte Observer in the print room.  He worked at Charlotte Memorial Hospital where he met Patricia Mobley and they began a life together.  This union would produce one son whom June was extremely proud of.

June didn't say much but eveyone knew what he wanted when he said, "Take me to get a biscuit and a bone."

June was preceded in death by sisters, Carrie Cade, Fannie Reel, Eva Shirley, Alice Murray, Georgia Little and brother, Andrew Murray.

Thomas Watson Murray, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories one son, Rodney Murray (Shelma) and one grandson, Rodney Duvall Murray of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Anderson Murray, Bobby Joe Murray (Nancy) and Darius Murray, all of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Miller of Charlotte, NC and Emma Jones (Hermon) of Rock Hill, SC; and one very special brother-in-law, Roger Little of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
