Thomas Kenneth Pruitt was born on April 9, 1961, in Wadesboro North Carolina to the late Jonnie Eugene Pruitt and Sari Ashe Pruitt.

Thomas Kenneth Pruitt, better known to the world as Kenny, attended Independence High School, Class of 1979.  Kenny was a self-taught mechanic, which he loved and shared with his oldest grandson, Marquolo.  He also loved any work with his hands and getting dirty.  In his free time, he enjoyed helping others and joking with his ten grandchildren.  He especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Joe Ann Rodgers; their two children, Alkia Jaquay Rodgers and Kenneth Rodgers; two brothers, Curtis Eugene Pruitt and Ray Anthony Pruitt; and one sister, Cynthia Elaine Pruitt.

Left with endless memories of Thomas Kenneth "Kenny" Pruitt are his children, Latasha Williams, Sakendra Rodgers Hall (Chris), KeShawn Rodgers and Takenya Rodgers; siblings, Donald Pruitt, Marsha Washington, Gloria Pruitt and Teresa Pruitt; five granddaughters and five grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
