Mrs. Thomasina Horne, 75 of Charlotte, departed this life on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at CMC-Main.  She was the daughter of the late Samuel Woodrow Grier and Beatrice Pagan Grier and was born July 5, 1946 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

Thomasina graduated from Second Ward High School.  After finishing high school, she worked as a dietician at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, now known as Atrium.  She loved her job as a dietician very much.  Many visitors who would stop for a meal would always ask, 'Where is Thomasina?"  Because of her smile and wonderful personality, everyone who knew her wanted to be around her.  Being a dietician, she would always fill their plates with plenty of food.  She then would always smile and say, "Have a good day."

Thomasina worked very hard to make others happy.  After working for Carolinas Medical Center for many years, she retired.  She was always happy to go home to her husband whom she had been married to for 40 years.  They would always laugh and smile.  Before going to sleep they would always say a prayer.  After finding the love of her life, she dedicated her life to Jehovah and got baptized October 12, 2013.

She passed on Friday, March 25, 2022, surrounded by many family members and especially her husband, William.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Calvin Pagan, James Edward Pagan and her sister, Martha G. Bell.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband, William and two sons, Harold Grier (Trish) of Hickory, NC and Leonard Lee Murphy of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Vivian Chambers, Juanita G. Cunningham (Lewis), Vickie Grier and Karen Grier, all of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Samuel Grier, Ray Grier and Jerome Grier, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
