Timothy Gerald Houston was born July 18,1952 in Charlotte, NC to the late Robert Tom Houston and Janie Ivey Houston. He departed this life on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in Charlotte, NC.

He gave his life to the Lord at an early age and was a member of Marvin AME Zion Church in his youth; and later attended Word of Faith West Church of Charlotte, NC.

He attended Western Union Elementary School of Monroe, NC and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School of Union County, NC. He also attended and graduated from Charlotte Truck Driving School. He began driving as an independent contractor and he drove for several truck driving companies "over-the-road," all over the United States. After, fulfilling his life-long dream of becoming a truck driver he finally retired from TCW Transportation Trucking Company of Charlotte. He had a great sense of humor and he always kept his family and friends laughing. He was quite the comedian! Also, he was a great drawing artist! He could draw anything that he set his eyes on. He was a man of many talents. His favorite holiday was CHRISTMAS!!!

He was united in marriage, to his first wife, Sybil Marlana Houston for 27 years until her death in 2001. He was joined in marriage to his second wife, Cathy Elise Houston in 2010 until her death in 2016.

He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Betty Jean McKinney; and brothers, Bobby Lewis Houston and David Michael Houston.

He is survived by his children; one son Timothy Antonio Houston of Charlotte, NC; and one daughter Stacey Denise Houston of Charlotte, NC; two loving step-daughters; Meita Steele Braxton (Lewis) of Charlotte, NC; Andrea Steele of Charlotte, NC; one step grand-child Natasha Elise Richardson of Charlotte, NC; two adopted step-grandchildren David Foret & Tommy Jordan; four loving brothers Billy Houston (Thelma) of Indian Trail, NC; Ricky Houston of Charlotte, NC; Wesley Houston of Rosedale, MD; Duran Houston (Amy) of Albemarle, NC; four loving sisters, Burnell Houston of Waxhaw, NC; Terry McDowell, (HIS TWIN), of Waxhaw, NC; Pamela Kelelyo of Charlotte, NC; Vickie Mills of Charlotte, NC; four aunts, Thelma Ivey of Charlotte, NC; Ginnie Barb Ivey of Monroe, NC; Bernice Ivey of Waxhaw, NC, and Minnie Lee Lowery of Waxhaw, NC.

He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
