Tommy Lee Brevard was born on August 11, 19 in Charlotte, NC to the late Moses and Sarah Brevard. He departed his world on September 9, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Tommy attended West Mecklenburg High School up until the 11th grade and then started working for the family of Cameron doing their lawn care. He worked there for the next three years until deciding to branch out and start his own lawn care business. Over the next forty years, he dedicated his life to building a successful business where he maintained a steady clientele and making sure each and everyone was satisfied. Tommy was a member of Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church and also served on the Men's Choir. He was known for singing his favorite song " Jesus Is Love" by Lionel Richie and "The Commodores". He was also a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He lived by the motto "That's what we do, Take care of each other."

Tommy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Moses and Sarah Brevard, wife Veda D. Brevard, and two sisters, Francis Brevard and Mary Bell Brevard Thompson. He leaves to cherish his life his children Tommy LEe Brevard, Jr., also known as Lee Lee and Jonathan Eaddy (of Chicago, IL); six sisters. Mozella McCrary, Arthur Mae (David) Jamison, Pauline (Johnny) Davis, Polly Barr, Ellen (Louise) Brevard, Eddie Brevard, and Larry Brevard; special longtime friend Sam; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
