Rev. Tony Clay Williams, 64 of Salisbury, NC, transitioned his life on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Tucker Hospice House.

He is survived by his wife:  Lathonia Williams, his children: Krystal (and Jimmie Williams), Wesley (and Katie Williams), and Ian (and Dara Williams), his mother,: Clara T. Williams, his sister: Valerie O'Kelley, his brothers-in-law:  Barton O'Kelley and Donald Stein, and his nephews and niece: Jarred Stein, Tyler Stein, Colton Stein, Sage Stein, Channing Bennett, and Bayley Nicholas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Williams, and his sister, Linda Stein.

Reverend Williams was born in Walterboro, South Carolina on September 15, 1957, to Benjamin and Clara Williams.  He graduated from the College of Holy Cross in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science.  In his professional life, he worked as an insurance claim adjustor for over thirty years of his career.  He married Lathonia on July 2, 1982.  Through their union, they welcomed three children into the world.  He went on to earn his master's degree in Divinity in 2016 at Gardner-Webb University and was in progress as a Ph.D. Candidate from the same institution upon his untimely passing.
