Mr. Tyler Edward Sturdivant Jr., 61 of Charlotte, departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.  He was the son of the late Tyler and Mary Sturdivant, was born July 18, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  In addition to his parents, Tyler was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Boswell.

Tyler accepted Christ at an early age and he loved talking about Jesus.  He had been a long time member of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

He enjoyed life and brought joy to those he came in contact with.  He worked at Lance, Inc. for 20-plus years and IFCO Pallets Company for 15-plus years.  He was a graduate of Harding High School.  Tyler was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan for over 50 years.

He leaves to mourn his daughter, Tylesha Sturdivant (Eric Norman); two sisters, Annie Williams and Ella Black (Henry); two nieces, Kisha Evans (Ray) and Chrystal Hall (Walter), all of Charlotte, NC; two nephews, Jerome Boswell (Crystal) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Henry Black II (ChaKahn) of Salisbury, NC; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relative and friends.
