Ulus Reese, Jr. was born on October 28, 1934 in Dewmaine, Illinois to Ulus Reese, Sr. and Cordelia Parran Reese. He attended Ramon Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Wendel Phillips High School.
Ulus was an avid golfer, fisher, and swimmer. He was a beloved Dad to his daughter Aleeta Phillips and a beloved Granddad and Great-Granddad. He was one who could be referred to as loving, caring, honest, stubborn, and a straight-forward person.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Steve and Vincent Reese; several brothers and sisters, and a number of family members on the Reese and Sivels side.
He is survived by a number of brothers and sisters; three grandkids, Demetria, Darren, and Dandria; seven great-grandkids, Genesis, Imani, Demetri, Eva, Elijah, Noah, and Amiri; as well as a host of beloved family friends.
He served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper, a part of the 101st Airborne and was assigned to the 321st Artillery Unit. He retired from Beatrice Food Company in Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a Biochemist for over twenty years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where he spent the remainder of his years. He loved his family and lived his life giving to others until his sunset on Monday, May 9, 2022.
