One year ago on November 26th, 2022, Verley M. Wilson (Boissiere), at the age of 88, transitioned into God's Loving Arms. Mrs. Wilson was married for 61 years to the late Marvin F. Wilson. Those two together are the definition of strength and bond. Mrs. Wilson worked in the field of dentistry at HEW in Washington, DC. After retiring, she was drawn into politics. She sat on the Glenarden County Council for many years before throwing her hat in the ring for Mayor. She was a well-loved member of the community. She left behind a wide variety of her passions, memories and accomplishments. What she loved most was the home she and her husband made with their two daughters. She was an avid reader, she loved sharing her knowledge about Glenarden and Prince Georges County, Maryland, and sharing family history. She loved to travel by car to the Eastern Shore, to where their grandchildren resided and everywhere in between, but going home to New Orleans was her ultimate joy. She could tell you where her favorite Cracker Barrel was and which exit to take to get to it. She loved to laugh and talk on the phone for hours. She had a fiery personality. Mrs. Wilson left behind two daughters Tanya M. Wilson and Donna A. Wilson, two grandchildren Michelle M. Barker and Curtis J. Jeffries, Jr. [Allie], three great grandchildren Canaan, Axelle, Rockland, and two Godchildren, Kristi August and Rylie Schexnayder, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends she loved dearly. Thank you for the love and guidance! You will live forever in our hearts!
