Mrs. Verneria "Nene" Renee Jackson Howze, 59 of Charlotte, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Atrium Health-Main. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester R. Jackson Jr., and Rosa Lee Clark Jackson was born on September 24, 1961 in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Howze attended Independence High School and lastly was employed at James Martin Middle School.

To all that knew her she was affectionately called "Nene".  Nene accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the First Mt Zion Baptist Church.  She loved her church and participated in the Senior Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and was the president of the Gospel Choir until she fell ill.

Nene was a kind, caring person who always stated what was on her mind.  She loved and cherished her family, especially her granddaughter.

Nene leaves to cherish memory her husband, Robert Lee Howze; daughter, Latoria Jackson; two sisters, Anita Bess and Sharon Jackson.  One granddaughter, Serenity Elam; three nephews, Cedric Jackson, Daniel Bess, and Jordan Bess; two nieces, Eboni Pearson and Brianna Bess; two aunts, Luvenia Burroughs and Ida L. Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
