Mrs. Veronica Thompson 63, of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Liberty Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Grier Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at York Memorial Park. Mrs. Thompson, born in Mecklenburg County, was a Financial Administrator and was last employed by Cityside builders. Survivors are: mother, Bettie P. Prather; son, Quentin Hipps; daughter, TyeWanda Thompson; brothers, Kenneth Prather and Lafayette Prather and a sister, Andra Harris, all of Charlotte; nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
