Ms. Vickie Lynn Houze, 64 of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday April 11, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital, Statesville, NC.

At an early age, she loved reading and learning, and always had a joyous heart and loving smile.  She attend public schools in North Carolina.

Vickie's career spanned more than 20 years employed within the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.  She joyfully worked as a Teacher's Assistant and as a Financial Secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Fannie Houze and sister, Annie L. Tate.

Vickie leaves to cherish her memory, brother-in-law, James Tate; two nephews, Michael Tate (Chandra) and Andre Tate (Glenda); and one niece, Patricia Tate; her dearest life-long friends, Regina Townsend; Sheila Sullivan, Cercelia Townsend, and Mary Hall; her dearest cousin, James Howze; and a host of other family and friends.
